OUR JOURNEY
Background
Purple Party is a Calendar Event that has existed for 11 years attracting tens of thousands of fans with its core of using this platform to celebrate Uganda’s arts and music. This event is organized by Brand Purple (U) Ltd an events company co- founded by TV Personality Douglas Lwanga. The Purple Party brings together Ugandan Entertainers, and fans of Uganda's music combining Musicians, Comedians, Djs and Mcees and has been dubbed “The Biggest Celebration of Ugandan Music”. The Purple Party Tours are the events that happen in every region of Uganda (Eastern Uganda, Western Uganda and Northern Uganda) and a grand event in December. What's New 2023! This year we proud to take to take this event to the world in our first international tour. This event shall run both national and international tours.
For an event that started in 2010, it has only survived with adding spices, new concepts and constantly making it even more bigger.

2010-2014: was the genesis. This event started as an indoor club event at Bulldog Wandegeya

2014: We started our first outdoor event at Lido Beach Entebbe.
2015: We did the Uganda Museum event

2020-2021: Covid-19 Happened and we paused the events for two years.

Event Objectives
The past Purple Party Concerts have sold out over 18,000, 15,000, 12,000 capacity event arenas and hosted a vast array of entertainers with various objectives:
1. To celebrate cities and promote local tourism through events. Our event attracts a huge audience from across the country to the host city which impacts on business, and local tourism.
2. To showcase Uganda’s brightest stars to the globe, promoting Ugandan music, create awareness, stimulate demand, develop audiences and promote sustainability for Uganda’s music globally.
3. Grow, and expose various Ugandan brands and business to a National audience and market through regional tours.
4. To promote collaborations between established artists, and rising stars through sharing the same stage and mediating collaborations using this platform communities.
5. Use the event brand to promote social causes and do social good. Such as Youth skills training, and tree planting activities as buildup to the event.
6. Create and generate awareness around “The power of Uganda’s music.
7. Using the platform to promote tourism, What better vehicle to drive this, than through the universal language of Music.
